Job Summary

This position will manage facility scheduling and oversee maintenance of athletic facilities including renovations to athletic facilities. The incumbent will also oversee event management for the sport programs of field hockey, women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s soccer. This position will be the primary coordinator of all event management ambassadors for athletic events and non-athletic events. The student staff will be trained, hired, and managed by this position during the entire academic year when athletic events are hosted on campus. This does include Conference and Post-Season Championships hosted at ODU.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to an advanced degree. Experience in athletic event management and facilities operations at the NCAA Division I and FBS level. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with coinciding deadlines. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to resolve game management issues. Experience in management of facilities and student personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in management of facilities in an intercollegiate program.
